2006 Method Fest Packed with Well-Known Faces,
Talented Newcomers As It Celebrates Performances

The Method Fest film festival, which celebrates great performances in independent film, will again play host to an outstanding selection of independent features and shorts featuring well-known faces and talented newcomers.
In the feature competition section:
- The festival opens with the Sundance hit, "Dreamland," starring Agnes Bruckner (Murder By Numbers), John Corbett (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Kelli Garner (The Aviator), Gina Gershon (Bound) and Justin Long (Dodgeball).
- The World Premiere film "Push," stars Chad Lindberg (The Fast and the Furious), Paul Ben-Victor (HBO's "The Wire"), Michael Rapaport, Chazz Palminteri and Dan Wells from Fox's new comedy "Free Ride."
- D.B Sweeney directs and stars in the world premiere of "Dirt Nap," with John C. McGinley (Platoon), Paul Hipp, Ed Harris (A Beautiful Mind), Ned Bellamy (Being John Malkovich) and Janet Jones (Alpha Dog).
- Ally McBeal's Greg Germann stars as a cancer specialist in "Special Ed" with D.W. Moffet (Thirteen) and Bill Cobbs (The Body Guard) and Connie Britton (The Brothers McMullen).
- The coming of age film, "Debating Robert Lee," stars award-winning actor Beau Bridges, Dale Midkiff (Pet Semetary), Oscar nominee Melinda Dillon (Close Encounters of the Third Kind), and young adult stars Daniel Letterle (Camp), Kaley Cuoco (8 Simple Rules), Billy Kay (L.I.E.) and Rachel Nichols (The Woods). Stephen Tobolowsky (Groundhog Day) and A Martinez (Santa Barbara) also appear.
- The political thriller "Confess" stars Ali Larter (Final Destination), Melissa Leo and Melissa Leo (21 Grams) and William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption).
- "These Girls" stars David Boreanz (Angel) and Caroline Dhavernas (Wonderfalls) in a coming-of-age story with a twist.
- "Halfway Decent" features Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) as a father trying to save his drug-addicted son.
The Method Fest shorts programs are not lacking in star-power of their own.
- Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions) and Hugh Laurie (House, M.D.) appear in the comedy "The Big Empty."
- "Lucid" stars Mark Feuerstein (In Her Shoes, What Women Want, West Wing, Good Morning Miami) and Jeff Kober ("24", Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Law & Order).
- The thriller "Intelligence" features Milo Ventimiglia (Rocky Balboa) and Bill Bolender (The Shawshank Redemption).
- "End of a Dog" stars Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) as a man trying to bury his dog.
- The sci-fi short "Cost of Living" stars X-Files icon William B. Davis.
- "Crossing" stars James Morrison (Jarhead).
- "Window" stars Louis Gossett, Jr. and Robert Peters (Go).
- "Affair Game" stars the popular Finnish actress Irina Bkorklund and Hamish Linklater, star of the upcoming film "The Violent Kind."
