Calabasas, Calif., March 28, 2006 - The Indie Music Night has become a popular fixture of the Method Fest independent film festival. Host Michael Bayouth will take listeners on a musical journey at the Sagebrush Cantina, Sunday night, April 2, beginning at 8:30.

Kicking off the night at 8:30 pm will be Soul Dogs with their alternative blend of Funk, Jazz, Rock, Pop, and Blues. A unique group, driven by the powerful vocals and lyrics of Sharon Benson; rock solid bass lines of C. J. III; steady, rhythmic drumming of Leslie Daniel; and the sensitive, melodic keyboard and percussion of Chris Colquhoun; their music is infectious. Soul Dogs expresses their musical diversity through the haunting, rhythmic tune "Poppy's Voodoo," ballads like "Deep Inside of Me," and moody, blues-based jazz tunes like "Talk to Me." Their album is aptly entitled "Journey." (www.souldogs.com/dogs.html)

Indoors, Chloe Day takes the stage at 9:30 pm. Not a day goes by without Chloe Day being distracted by melody. It might have bit her at a friend's house, maybe in the car or skating through the alleys of her neighborhood in Venice Beach, CA. Songwriting and performing became instant addictions and went from open mics in Santa Monica to gigs around Hollywood. Her debut album, "The Return Of." vibrates with the trashy percussive grooves of hip-hop and the creepy, tensile ambience of electronica. Now, after the release of the album, "Pixie Runway," Day's two indie quirky yet catchy tunes have been heard on MTV's "Score" reality show. And her music continues to make inroads on radio, including the recent song "Sunshine Daydream." (www.chloeday.com)

Next at 10:15 pm, Sleeping Masses takes to the stage bringing their blend of pop/rock and mellow grooves. The band's front man is Patrick Muldoon. Muldoon is the songwriter and also plays guitar. "The sleeping masses" is a term he used to describe how most people go through their lives not awake, just going from one impulse to the next.

Silent Treatment consisting of David Rosales (vocals/guitar), Jerry Wu (guitar), Steve Abel (bass) and Rick Esparza (drums) takes to the stage at 11 pm. David set out to find a group of musicians that was serious about playing real rock n' roll. These characteristics come through loud and clear when you see this band live or listen to their debut independent album "Stop, Drop N' Roll." The band began playing at Hollywood 's Coconut Teaszer working their way up the Sunset Strip. Armed with confidence and a reputation for playing a great live show, Silent Treatment was able to land residency at the world famous Whisky á Go-Go.

Cody Carpenter, the son of legendary filmmaker John Carpenter, is part progressive rock musician-part mad scientist. Cody Carpenter is quite possibly the most exciting new artist to enter the music scene today. The band comprised of the composer and lyricist aptly named, Cody Carpenter, who performs on the keys while singing lead vocals is accompanied by some stellar musicians: Jimmy Haslip on bass (of Robben Ford and the Yellowjackets), Oscar Seaton on drums (from Lionel Richie's touring band), Zachary Throne on guitar/back-up vocals and Eliza James on electric violin/back-up vocals (Burt Bacharach's lead violinist). The five-person arrangement brings a complex sound that has garnered tremendous early industry acclaim while Cody's talent is drawing comparisons to music legends such as The Doors, Genesis, The Moody Blues, Yes, and even The Beatles. See him at 11:45 pm. (www.myspace.com/codycarpenter)

DiegoDiego with his latin inspired techno sound takes the stage at 12:30 am. DiegoDiego personifies the excitement and magic of Hollywood with his charismatic style and boundless energy. DiegoDiego's professional career was launched with the television soap opera "La Culpa" directed by Pynkie Morris. He is appreciated for his sensational performances; but more than this is widely recognized as a major leader in the creation of the new millennium sound. This is dramatically demonstrated in his recently released CD "Quema Quema" (Burn Burn). (www.diegodiego.com)
